November 15 was the closing of a 2-day seminar of the International Research Center based on a multi-purpose research sodium fast neutron reactor (MBIR).
The participants discussed current achievements and further plans for the construction of a reactor building, the challenges facing the complementary multifunctional radiochemical research complex (RRC), and a holistic view on the closed nuclear fuel cycle (CNFC) in Russia. Particular attention was paid to the multilateral research program at the MBIR reactor and Consortium Agreement regarding the international scientific collaborations.
Participants visited all the key construction sites of the SSC RIAR related to MBIR-RRC projects. As a result of the workshop, joint goals and further steps of interaction were identified.
The IRC MBIR team thanks colleagues and partners for this fruitful cooperation.
